OF THE
MOUNTAINS
Bringing nature into the home. Short paths for all users. Maximum privacy for all inhabitants. Combined with exceptional living comfort and energy savings. Another family home project executed with great success.
ARCHITECTURAL VISIONS REALISED
A few things were clear to the Schneider family from the outset: “We wanted a straight-forward and modern home, perfect for our family. We had previously lived in a terraced home, which is why we knew exactly what our paths and requirements were and were able to contribute those to the design.” Together with Gaulhofer, they made their dream home a reality: “It was important to us to build our house as a solid structure and to partner with regional companies. In Baucom from Pfarrwerfen, we found our perfect partner for construction and construction supervision, not to mention the many hints they gave us – for instance to make the rooms 2.7 m tall.” The latter gives the home an even more ‘elevated’ feel.
LOTS OF LIGHT AND LONG-DISTANCE VIEWS
Throughout their house, the Schneiders installed some 120 square metres of glass: “Our perfectly located property offered the optimal prerequisites for this. We can see our garden from every room, and we love it. The master bedroom and adjacent bathroom provide breath-taking views of the Tennengebirge mountains and surrounding nature. An overwhelming feeling of freedom!” The family’s minds were set on Wood-Aluminium Windows. Before they had had wooden windows, which naturally require more care and maintenance. Wood-Aluminium Windows are perfectly protected against weathering. “For Sun Protection we opted for silver Venetian Blinds. On top of that we installed a highly functional insect protection system – a massive benefit when living in the countryside. That way, we are optimally protected from pesky insects!
